Vogue's Best Dressed

So Vogue post their Top 10 Best Dressed weekly and I have to admit I was not loving all that were listed.  Only three made the cut in my eyes. The others were just not my style. So, here are my picks, drum roll anyone...

Whip up some color

In a home, kitchens are my favorite room to decorate.  Every kitchen is different depending on the design choices with color and decorations.  I love kitchens that are unique and are able to step out of the bounds of the regular kitchen ideas.  Color is always a good place to start because it brightens up the space and invites the visitors in.

All of the kitchens shown have a splash of color, whether it be just white or bright blue covering the entire space.  Each one is livable according to the homeowner who designed the space.
Oh and you are all probably wondering why I chose this topic, well.... I just moved into a new place and I need inspiration.  Plus, everything that could have gone wrong when first moving in did go wrong so I needed a silver lining, which just happened to be decorating.

Today is my 21st birthday... finally here.  In spirit of this fabulous day, I wanted to show some of my favorite party looks.  On your birthday you want to stand out and have a fantastic outfit on.  In these looks you are bound to do that for sure.

All of these are from Lulus.com and are definitely star worthy.  They all have there special touch to them, especially the fringe dress.  Yes, I know it may be a little drastic, but I think its pretty fun.  If you can rock it, go for it!

In full swing...

I love the jean look.  It can either be jean on jean or just a small touch with a jean jacket or jean button-down.  I just read Glamour and I was loving all the jean looks that the magazine showcased.  Lately, I have been wearing my jean button-down with everything.  I got in while I was in London and it has become my ultimate staple item.  It is an easy look to pull off and it creates a little edge to an outfit.  You can throw a jean button-down over a dress in order to have a look of girly meets tomboy. But one of my favorites is to just wear my button-down with a pair of jeans or jean shorts or a colored pant.  Perfect!
