Last week...

It's my last week in Florence.
I don't want this to be a long post because I am not ready to leave and I don't want to dwell on it.
I just wanted to show a few pictures from the past few days. All my friends and I are trying to soak up the last few days we have here. So, we are spending everyday and every night together.
I am so glad I have met people that have become family to me over the last four months.

I don't know what I would have done if I wouldn't have met these girls...
where's Kat?! She needs to be in this pic!!

London!

London = my favorite place!
Reasons why:
1. Nice people
2. Beautiful parks throughout the city, so you are able to retreat from the bustle of the city and lounge in a lovely park
3. The sites are amazing
4. Shopping is superb
5. Food is excellent
6. Overall, great city.
Oh, and just so everyone knows, I plan on moving there sometime in my life. The sooner the better.
First picture in London had to be, of course,
in a phone booth. That, by the way, smells terrible!
The first day we were there was the day of the Royal Wedding, but unfortunately we were not in the crazy crowds to see the royal family. I was not too disappointed though, because we watched it on TV with some friends that Lauren knew that lived in London.  It was just cool to be there in London and see all the celebrating people on the streets.
After watching it on TV for a while, we went to Hyde Park where all the crowds had been watching the wedding on the large screens.  In the park, there were huge crowds of the people lounging in the grass and some were dressed up like the royal party.  It was pretty hilarious.

Becoming true London-ers
The next day, Lauren and I traveled around the city and saw all the tourist sites.  We first went to Buckingham palace and saw where Kate and William took their balcony kiss.  Then we walked around Green Park, the park that Buckingham Palace sits in. As we were slowly walking through the park and taking a few pictures, we heard cheering and out of the corner of my eye I saw guards riding horses towards the palace. I hopes it would be something exciting, I raced across the park to take pictures.  Raced may not be the correct word; sprinted is probably better. It was quite humorous to see I would assume.

After Buckingham and Green Park, we went onto more sites, such as Big Ben, Parliament, West Minister Abbey, and the London and Tower Bridges.  We also had lunch at Borough Market, where we had delicious green curry because London is known for its curry, which I now understand why.

It we a beautiful day. Thank you London for not having
nasty weather while I was there!
Tower Bridge, that everyone thinks is London bridge. Sorry folks,
you are wrong!
Later in the day, Lauren and I waited in a hour and half line to go into West Minister Abbey.  Inside they had the wedding decorations still up and it was a definite must to see! It was a beautiful church and with the decorations it was more amazing. I saw where the queen sat, when Kate and Will stood, and where they sat during the part where the whole church sang.  It was quite a moment.
The next day, we went shopping a little, got fish and chips, and saw Abbey Road.
Walking across Abbey Road!
Other than just loving London, we became obsessed with anything related to Harry Potter in London. The fact that on most of the double-decker buses there is an advertisement for Harry Potter, made us feel like we really were in London.
Also, we found platform 9 3/4. It was awesome, but super hard to find. It was worth the hunt.
Be looking for a change of address letter soon everyone... 'cus I'm moving to London!

Easter!

Yes, a little delayed, but I am finally getting to Easter weekend in Croatia.  We left Thursday night and set out for an 11 hour bus ride.  Unfortunately, there was a ton of traffic and it turned into a 13 almost 14 hours bus ride.  Since I am not able to sleep on buses, I was pretty tired.  With no time to rest, we hopped onto a boat to go to Brac, which was about a hour away.  We sailed along the water and it was really relaxing and fun.  Along the way, we saw dolphins and had an interesting meal with wine.  I say interesting because I ordered the fish, which was a whole fish, head and tail included.  I had to remove these parts of the fish and had to see them on the side of my dish the whole time I attempted to eat the meal.  I am not sure if I enjoyed that, but it was a good experience.  An experience that I DON'T want to experience again.

Brac
My meal... scary huh?
On the Island of Brac, we walked around and went to the beach.  I was brave enough to go in the water and I should have rethought it. It was extremely cold. But Brac was a small, pretty town, but there was not much else to do except lounge on the beach for a little.
The next day we went white water rafting, which was such a great outdoor experience. We were surrounded by tons of trees and plants that it made me feel as if I was in a rain forest. It was beautiful.  The best part of the rafting were the outfits...
These outfits were pretty attractive, let me tell ya! They were saggy in the butt and at the end of the day we all had the best tan lines!
The next day we went to the Krka National Forest, which was filled with amazing waterfalls.  Everywhere we looked we saw a new waterfall, tiny or big.  It was probably the most beautiful place I have been while studying abroad.
I wanna go back sometime soon in my life!
