TRE!

Section 3: Cinque Terre
We arrived to Cinque Terre in the night and we traveled the hilly streets of the town Lovanto, which is not one of the 5 towns that Cinque Terre is named after.  We had to walk all the way from the train station to the bed and breakfast, which sits at the top of a hill, and it was very painful for all of us.  But, we got to the bed and breakfast and it was the quaintest/ cutest hotel ever!
The next day we walked through all of the 5 towns, starting with the 5th one.  It was disappointing because we were not able to walk the entire trail because there were landslides.  Instead, we took a train to each town and then wandered around them.  It was still a lot of fun and Cinque Terre has become my favorite place I have been so far.  I am going again this weekend with ISA, my study abroad program, so I am really looking forward to that.
There is a "phenomenon" that is all over Italy, and possibly other places in Europe, where people take locks and put them in places.  They inscribe messages of love with their friends or significant others.
It was really great to go to each town and see the differences.  They were all very small and cute, but some were right along the shore while others were a hike up a mountain.  For one, we had to travel 382 steps to get to.  Thank god we had the ocean to look at the whole time.
As if it was out of a movie...
We made it!
